Mokoloco Paris – A Night with Guest Chef Akira Su
Mokoloco Paris has been on my list forever, and let me tell you—it didn’t disappoint. This cozy little spot, run by Omar Koreitem (Lebanese vibes) and Moko Hirayama, is currently hosting Chef Akira Su. His food? A dreamy mix of Japanese flavors and Mediterranean inspiration, and honestly, it’s the kind of meal you can’t stop thinking about.
What We Ate (and Loved):
The menu is all about sharing, which I love. Here’s what stood out for me:
Udon Cacio e Pepe: Creamy, peppery, and just so good.
Pintade Katsu: Crispy perfection.
Sashimi de Sériole: Simple, fresh, and beautifully done.
The Doria was a bit spicy for me, but my friend Suzanne was obsessed. So if you like a little kick, go for it!




For drinks, we tried some natural wine (Chicos) and a bit of sake, which paired so well with everything.
We wrapped it all up with the Tiramisu au Hojicha—sweet, smoky, and the perfect finish.
The Vibes:
The service here is amazing. Emma took such good care of us and made us feel so welcome. And Chef Akira Su? Such a gem. He’s super approachable, and you can tell he’s passionate about every single dish. I low-key envied the people at the counter—they got to chat with him all night while watching him work. Next time, I’m booking one of those seats for sure.




The Bill:
Our total came to 141€ for two (about 70€ each). Worth every penny for the quality and the experience.
Bonus Style Shoutout:
Okay, side note—Suzanne was rocking this gorgeous faux fur coat from Monoprix’s current collection. Had to mention it because it was such a vibe.
Final Thoughts:
Mokoloco is the real deal. Chef Akira Su is killing it, and the whole team deserves a standing ovation. If you go, sit at the counter (trust me) and prepare for a meal that feels like a warm hug.
